Pearl Spot / Karimeen Pollichathu (cooked in banana leaf) - Pack of 1 fish non-veg-icon

Pearl Spot / Karimeen Pollichathu (cooked in banana leaf) - Pack of 1 fish

Out of stock

Originating from Kerala, Karimeen Pollichathu is a delicacy made from Karimeen/Pearl Spot fish from the backwaters. Half-cooked fish is marinated with a rich, spicy shallot and tamarind masala and wrapped in a banana leaf, then grilled on a hot plate on a low flame. Slow grilling allows the masala to penetrate into the fish and take in all the flavours. Even though the fish has a lot of bones and should be eaten carefully, this spicy dish will make you crave for more. The best part? It has no added chemicals or preservatives!
